Imet GBS 242 GH Autocut Bandsaw

Versatile auto-cut bandsaw which can be used in either manual or automatic gravity feed modes. Ideal for small and medium batch production. This bandsaw model is equipped with easy bi-directional swing head for mitre cutting up to 45° right and 60° left with a rotating cutting table, meaning the saw blade does not damage the saw table. Cutting capacity for different materials can be found in the information table below.

Safe push-button start on the handle, warning light for the correct functioning, minimum tension coil for thermic & magnetic protection. Including floor stand with an opening in the back containing removable coolant tank and electro-pump. See the options tab for information on upgrading to a minimal spray mist lubrication system or adding precision laser line.

3 way Autocut function enables the operator to choose from the following cutting modes:

A: Manual Cut
B: Rapid approach to the material
C: Automatic cut with autonomous lowering and stopping via microswitch at the end of the cut.

Addimist Band saw

Pure oil micro-mist blade lubrication system recommended for cutting tubes and sectional material where flood lubricant loss through the material is a problem. This precision delivery system allows adjustment for the number of pulses per min, and the quantity of each dose. (requires compressed air supply) The standard flood system is retained for cutting solid material and the operator can simply switch between systems.

Battery Laser Line

Quality German laser line. Addison fit item.

Cutting Table

Large rotating cutting table with precision scale for accurate angle setting. The rotating design means that whatever angle is being cut the table is not eroded away. Rotation is easy as it is mounted on bearings.

Vice

Sturdy manual vice on adjustable slides with quick action lever for repetition cutting. The vice can be positioned either side of the sawblade depending on the direction of mitre.

Blade guide system

Very important to get this right in any bandsaw, heavy steel guide arms support a precision set of pre-twist roller bearings and solid carbide blade guides to give maximum precision and performance.

Cutting Control

3 mode selection – Manual movement with blade function disabled for fast approach to material, ideal when cutting to marked material line – Operator setting of the start position with auto-cut function and blade stop at end of cut for unattended cutting. And pure manual cutting mode.
