Mecal Mc 305 Gianos 4 Axis Machining Centre

For high speed machining of aluminium, steel, brass, copper and PVC materials. The Gianos 4 axis CNC machining centre can be used in numerous applications including, windows, doors and curtain walling, automotive, aerospace, engineering, internal partitions, sign manufacturing, air conditioning and refrigeration. We have installed these machines for a very diverse range of applications, including machining slots, pockets, holes, custom shapes, end slotting, tapping, rigid tapping, drilling and flow drilling.

Steel roof panels with LED Lighting

For additional sound insulation we can provide steel panels with LED lighting.

Clamping Positioning

DPM-where the clamps are sequentially positioned by the spindle carriage.

MMI-this choice has each clamp motorised to move individually to position.

Both versions have 8 clamps as standard, additional items can be added to suit application.

Angle Drives

Angle drive with 2 tools can be orientated in either Y axis or Z axis direction, the required direction must be specified on ordering.

Angle drive with sawblade can be orientated in either Y axis or Z axis direction, the required direction must be specified on ordering.

Optional additional magazine may be required for auto change of the unit. The tools within the angle drive have to be manually changed.

Additional Magazine

Commonly used to mount the angle drive heads.

Spindle Upgrades

8.5kw air cooled with axial encoder to facilitate rigid tapping functions.

Clamp Extension

Option to extend the Y axis clamping capacity to 300mm

Simulator

Job simulator software which shows an accurate simulation of the actual job in real time very graphically. Indicating timings and potential process errors.

Belt Conveyor

A rubberised belt conveyor to transport captured swarf and offcut pieces to the end of the machine where a collection container can be placed.

Swarf Drawers

Set mobile of steel swarf collection drawers

Other Options

Automatic length measuring device

Multi directional probe with detection based on Z axis orientation

Automatic length measuring device

Multi directional probe with detection based on Z axis orientation

Bar Code Reader

For receiving job data when integrated with a double mitre saw that has the thermal label printer. The job data is usually provided by external software.

4 Axis Machining

4 Axis machining capability with A axis rotation performed by a rotating table with a range of -125° to +125°

Loading Zones

2 independent rotating tables with 4 zero reference stops offer unbeatable production potential. 4 different jobs of appropriate length can be worked in the dual zone mode, or one long job can be worked with the tables synchronised to provide full length loading.

Mecal CAD CAM 3D

Designed to be the most advanced and easy to use system currently available. All of the basic programming is available with pre-loaded macros which are applied by a simple drag and drop process. The graphical 3D presentation is a clear and accurate representation that can be viewed from any angle to check for errors, and it demonstrates the orientation for the workpiece to be correctly loaded.

External Connections

We have the ability to connect to many external window packages (including Schucal-Logikal) sometimes a linking program is required at additional cost.

The converter imports IGES files in completed SW CAD 3D and creates the program to process the job. This function is in high demand from industrial clients using Inventor-Solid Works and Solid Edge type programs.

Tool Magazine

11 position automatic tool magazine is mounted centrally  to reduce tool change times to an absolute minimum.
