Imet GBS 218 GH Bandsaw

Gravity cutting action pivot style metal cutting manual bandsaw suitable for maintenance workshops and medium fabrication applications requiring cutting of sectional material, bars, tubes, and solids. One way easy swing head for mitre cutting with positive stops of 0°, 45°, 60° and precision scaled for the setting of different angles.

These manual bandsaws come with blade guides featuring hard metal pads for extended wear, safe start push button on the handle of the saw and an error warning light for operator safety. The saw frame is made from cast iron, and inclined to 42 deg to reduce pressure on the bandsaw blade while cutting.

3 way Autocut function enables the operator to choose from the following cutting modes:

A: Manual Cut
B: Rapid approach to the material
C: Automatic cut with autonomous lowering and stopping via microswitch at the end of the cut.

Addimist Bandsaw

Optional pure oil micro-mist blade lubrication system recommended for cutting tubes and sectional material where flood lubricant loss through the material is a problem. This precision delivery system allows adjustment for the number of pulses per min, and the quantity of each dose. (requires compressed air supply) The standard flood system is retained for cutting solid material and the operator can simply switch between systems.

Saw Frame & Guides

Very important to get this right in any bandsaw, heavy steel guide arms support a precision set of pre-twist roller bearings and solid carbide blade guides to give maximum precision and performance. Also features a saw frame made of heavier steel then normal on a machine of this capacity and price point.

Cutting control

3 mode selection – Manual movement with blade function disabled for fast approach to material, ideal when cutting to marked material line – Operator setting of the start position with auto-cut function and blade stop at end of cut for unattended cutting. And pure manual cutting mode.
