Simply put, there is no best saw to cut metal with. It greatly depends on the metal, the shape of the profile, how many cuts you need to do and how often. Each type of metal profile and job has a different recommendation. We suggest you get in touch with our experts and they’ll be able to look at your job spec and suggest the best metal saw for the job.
The easy answer is Yes. However, there are exceptions in that we recommend using carbide blades and a specific type of bandsaw with the right feeds and speeds to ensure you’ll get the best cut finish, and not wreck your machine or blade.
Because each application can be unique, we do recommend speaking to a metal cutting expert to make sure you’re looking at the best machine for the job and your budget. There’s nothing more annoying than spending time gathering information on one type of machine, only to find out it won’t cut what you need it to, or won’t cut at the volume or frequency your job demands.
Every material and profile has different requirements, as does each machine and blade. For the correct feeds and speeds, get in touch with us and we’ll be able to help you calculate it.
